Those Europeans always get the good stuff. Not only do they get to put hands on the HTC Touch HD, our mobile enthusiast friends in France will likely soon be able to buy an iPhone 3G for just €99 ($125)! A new promotional flyer from Orange has been posted by Apple Insider, showing the iPhone [...]

I was rather surprised to see that Orange here in the UK has actually got an option on it’s menu structure called ‘iPhone Alternatives‘.
iPhone must be hurting them. Here’s a snapshot — see the bottom menu: Click on the menu item and you’re presented with four options...

This had to happen, didn’t it? If you thought Orange paid Polish actors to make fake queues outside their shops just so that it would seem that they were having a good sale, then you are wrong my friend. Or at least that’s what Orange wants us to believe!
After the furor that was caused caused...

After a slew of complaints from customers about the iPhone 3G's substandard performance on its network, Orange has admitted that it is capping its 3G data speeds at 384 Kbps. In a statement, the company says it will increase its 3G data speeds to 1MB by mid-September but didn't provide the reason...

Filed under: Culture , Handsets , Orange , Misc , Apple Folks, be honest with us here -- did you really expect Orange and / or Apple to say anything other than this? Amidst reports that iPhone 3G line sitters at Polish Orange stores were actually paid to be there , the carrier has shot back in order...

There’s nothing worse than paying for high-speed 3G wireless data and then getting shafted with artificially-limited data speeds. iPhone 3G owners have been complaining of sluggish 3G data speeds, resulting in speculation that the iPhone 3G’s hardware or firmware were to blame. But, with...

The iPhone! Surely the world’s most desirable handset, right?
Not so in Poland, apparently. In what seems to be an attempt to duplicate the ‘iPhone madness’ that greted the Jesus Phone’s launch in the UK & USA, Orange has reportedly hired dozens of actors to queue up ‘excitedly’...

So what are to make of reports of slow 3G data speeds on the iPhone 3G? Well, it’s either a software-based error on Apple’s part, or the carriers are purposefully throttling data speeds for the iPhone 3G. The former has been confirmed as a problem by Apple, and the latest iPhone 2.0.2 OS...

Filed under: Handsets , Orange , Apple The iPhone 3G hits 20 more countries tomorrow , and while we doubt the hype will match the craziness of launch day , that's not stopping Orange from trying to re-create the madness in Poland -- it's hiring "dozens" of actors to line up at 20 stores...

The iPhone 3G has already launched in the UK, simultaneously with dozens of other countries around the world, but that doesn’t mean the iPhone 3G rumors are going to stop anytime soon. The latest bit of hearsay to come out of the United Kingdom hints at O2’s iPhone exclusivity period being...
