  • Nokia: Watch out for those jealous laptops - they're dangerous with envy

Nokia’s marketing department deserves a round of applause for their newest act of advertising genius. Rather than go toe-to-toe with the incredible iPhone buzz-machine, Nokia opted to go the comedy route for their N95 - a damn good decision, if you ask us. Playing on the Nokia N95’s role as the multimedia computer, the ads warn of jealous laptops attacking their once loyal users - apparently laptops don’t like competition. You know it’s funny when you bust out laughing…and you’re all alone. The “JEALOUSCOMPUTERS.com | A Global Warning” campaign is so hilarious, it’s good (and the other way around). Check out the victim reports, instructional videos, and “medical pictures from a doctor’s office” at jealouscomputers.com - they’re a riot! There’s also a good amount of downloads for Nokia fans, so make sure to get your fix. • Nokia installs clever touchscreen game to market N95

Filed under: Handsets , Multimedia , Nokia These days, it really takes something special to catch to eye of the desensitized market, and Nokia's shifting the focus back to the consumer with its lighthearted touchscreen game at a London bus stop. The interactive advertisement requests that the player flip the pockets in order to find matches, but it also insinuates that the sleek Nokia N95 smartphone is just too slim and inconspicuous to readily pick out. Of course, we highly doubt it's all that difficult to spot after a flip or two, but the idea here is novel nonetheless. If nothing else, it sure breaks up the boredom (or frustration) felt whilst waiting on the next bus, so be sure to click on through for a video of the thing so you'll know it when you cross it.
