  • Nokia N96 review - about as good as it looks

The Nokia N96 has been highly anticipated as the Nokia N95 successor and new heir to the Nseries throne. With that sexy, glossy-black finish, under-lit keys, mobile TV, and fantastic optics, the Nokia N96 is the new king-of-the-ring when it comes to Espoos Nseries lineup. We’ve already seen the Nokia N96 from all angles and subjective [...]
  • Mobile Networks… You’ll never cease to amaze me!

I’m being serious here. Since my time here as Mobile Industry Review I’ve read hundreds of news articles on the latest goings on with the mobile industry. Yes a lot of the so called news is terribly “boring”, but every now and then, I have to sit back laugh, and ask “why”? Ricky kindly sent me [...]
  • Nokia launching flagship Nokia N96 handset alongside Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 business-class cellphones

Still waiting patiently for Nokia to go live with the famed successor to the uber-popular top-of-the-line N-series handset? Sure you are - we're all waiting for Nokia to drop the Nokia N96-bomb. • Nokia N96 available for pre-order - $1,200 and ships on 7/31

The sleeker and arguably better looking successor to the Nokia N95 has been eagerly awaited since it was officially announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. With WiFi, DVB-H mobile TV, GPS, and 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash under the hood, the Nokia N96 and it's glossy black finish is almost [...]
  • Quick look at the Samsung G810 from Mobile World Congress

Yea, it's a bit late in coming, but lack of decent internet connection and a bunch of travel-time kept me from uploading this video until now. Anyway, here's a quick look at Samsung's new Nokia N95 fighter, the Samsung G810. With a 5 megapixel camera that delivers the kind of high-end picture and video performance that [...]
  • Nokia N95 advertisement shows slightly tweaked design

The boys over at Engadget Mobile spotted this interesting advert on Yahoo! today. Like so many yuppy mid-lifers that have gone under the knife in search of vanity and youth, the Nokia N95 you see pictured here just looks a bit strange. It’s an N95, that much we’re sure of. But, take a look at the edges of the device - they look strangely beveled for some reason. Clicking on the ad takes you to Nokia’s USA Nokia N95 page, so we’re assuming the “8GB expandable memory” claim is referring to the microSD card slot. The Nokia N95 8GB NAM should be an all-black handset without a microSD card slot, so this ad is most likely referring to the already-launched Nokia N95-3. Sloppy advertising aside, what’s with the tweaked look of this Nokia N95-3? • Nokia leak hints at Nokia N95 8GB North American Version, N82 8GB

What’s this? Another N95 release? That’s right. In the tradition of Motorola’s re-released-to-death RAZR lineup, Nokia has let it slip that the Noka N95 8GB will be tweaked and re-released to play nice on those funky US 3G frequencies that make America so great. It makes sense for Nokia to release a US-spec Nokia N95 8GB for some time now, and it seems that the launch may not be far off. Nokia actually leaked the information themselves, following the leaked hardware pics of the Nokia N96 the other day. Astute Nokia fans noticed that the “Downloads!” page in Nokia’s US Nseries Portal featured support for the Nokia N95 8GB NAM as well as the rumored Nokia N82 8GB. Was it just a case of too much rum-laced EggNog at the Nokia Holiday Office party, or is Nokia going to make it their policy to leak future handset info themselves? We’d prefer the latter - after all, there’s no better kind of leak than those that come straight from the manufacturer. The Nokia N82 8GB listing was taken down with haste, but Nokia decided to leave the N95 8GB NAM up for all to see. We’d say that the launch of the Nokia N95 8GB US is highly likely, with the Nokia N82 8GB possibly not far behind. CES 2008 will probably net us some juicy details, and possibly a few juicier pics. Stay tuned! • Brief: More on the Nokia N82 - demo videos

Are you tired of hearing about the Nokia N82 yet? No? We thought not. As Stefan pointed out , the Nokia N82 seems to take better pics than the Nokia N95 and seems to have a shorter shot-to-shot time than the Nokia N95 (about the same as the Nokia N95 8GB). Check out the videos below to get a better idea for the Nokia N82’s capabilities and in-hand usability. ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:First video of the Nokia N82!Fake Nokia N82 (CECT N82) spottedFirst live pictures of the Nokia N82 leakHands on the Nokia N82!Nokia N81, N82 in works?
  • Hands on the Nokia N82!

If you’ve been waiting anxiously for the Nokia N82 to hit the ground running with its long, 5 megapixel, Carl-Zeiss legs, you’ll have to keep waiting a bit longer. But, we have some more pics of the N95’s candybar-sibling for you to drool over in the meantime (or not, we prefer the N95). Again, this thing’s packing the same serious guts (aside from the addition of the Xenon flash) as it’s sliding Nokia stablemate - integrated GPS, 3G (HSDPA), WiFi, 5 megapixel camera with Carl-Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, Bluetooth, access to Nokia’s Music Store, and automatic screen rotation (a la the “ rotateme ” accelerometer tweak on the N95). That’s right! Nokia’s given the N82 out-of-the-box screen rotation. Nokia’s apparently gone official with its accelerometer support on the Nokia N82, so we’re wondering what their plans are for the Nokia N95’s accelerometer. Will Nokia release an update to leverage the built-in accelerometer to enable an official auto-rotate feature? Well, if they don’t, at least we have “ rotateme .” Head on over to Symbian-Freak to check out the full hands-on experience. Interesting footnote - they excuse the photo quality because all pics were taken with an N95. What? Keep reading for a few more pics of the Nokia N82 in the wild. • Hot Deal: US spec Nokia N95 for $599.99 on TigerDirect - Cheap Nokia N95-3!

If you’ve been drooling over the Nokia N95 but haven’t been able to muster the $ 700 entry price for the North American N95 with US-friendly 3G frequencies, here’s some good news. TigerDirect.com has the Nokia N95-3 (the N95-3 is the US version, while the N95-1 denotes the European version), for the low, low price of $599.99. We’ve been scouring the nets for a cheap US-spec Nokia N95, and Craigslist and eBay both lose out to TigerDirect. Stefan already covered what the differences between the Nokia N95-1 and N95-3, but here’s a quick rundown. The Nokia N95-3 trades a camera lens cover for a larger, much needed battery, the Plum battery cover has gone Black, RAM has been doubled, and the WCDMA radio now works on the US-friendly 850 and 1900Mhz frequencies. For all of you that bought the North American N95-3 at the initial $700 price, we’re sorry to bring you this news. The N95-3 barely hit Yankee shores and there’s already a $200 price drop? If it makes you feel any better, Apple screwed us for $200 for our iPhones just three months after it launched. • Now this is how a Nokia-branded car should look - the Nokia Ford Mustang

This is a bit of older news, but it’s worth mentioning simply because it’s a prime example of how a Nokia-branded automobile should be done. The Nokia-branded Ford Mustang you see here has been tricked out with Nokia N800 Internet Tablets and is the muscle-bound wireless powerhouse compared to Renault’s effeminate Twingo Nokia Special Edition . Boy Genius got his hands on pics of this Ford Mustang fully-decked out with Nokia N800 Internet Tablets in the headrests and even a center-console mounted N800 up front. The N800’s are integrated into the central media server and are used to control media functions. Wireless data is pulled down through an N95 connected to the N800’s through WiFi. So, it looks like Nokia does know how to do in-car integration, if only as a one-off concept. And check out that license plate. Nice. Want more pics? Keep reading. • Nokia N95-3 launch in 7-10 days - the US version of the Nokia N95 is almost here!

We can’t wait for the US-spec Nokia N95 (the Nokia N95-3) to finally hit Yankee shores with its support for US-friendly 3G frequencies. With the Nokia N95-3 having recently passed through the FCC’s testing labs , the official launch of the device is imminent. The question is, just how imminent? Well, Engadget Mobile ’s sleuthing (by which we mean a phone call to a store manager) revealed that the N95-3 is just 7-10 days away! Nokia’s flagship stores are expecting to accept shipments of the 850/1900Mhz HSDPA-compatible Nokia N95 in the 7 to 10 days. If you’re planning on pulling the trigger on one a US-friendly 3G N95, you’d better get that $699 (don’t forget tax) ready soon!
