  • Motor Flirt connects singles on the go… literally

Imagine this. You’re driving with a friend around the city and suddenly you see two hot girls riding next to you. You bet you wanna have drink with them, but what’s the right way to “approach” in this situation. Open a window and yell? Nah, that’s an old-school way. How about invite them to a coffee via SMS? Sounds good but you don’t have their phone number, don’t you? Thanks to the new service called Motor Flirt you can do just that. All you have to do is send an SMS with their plate number (something like “Hey, saw you on Sunset Blvd just now, looking fine. Drink?”). your message and you’re ready to go. The users’ privacy is protected, and all the communication goes between Motor Flirt’s server which relay messages to the service members. In order to use Motor Flirt, you must register and also input your car’s registration number. Afterwards you’re literally ready to go. The only concern left is the traffic safety, so be careful how you’re using the service… [Via: Great Dating Services ] ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:MeetMoi lets your flirt while on the goBMW uses unlocked iPhone at Frankfurt Motor Show? • DodgeBall - another mobile social network

While we don’t see many of the new pure desktop web-based social networks appearing these days, the mobile social networking space is booming as never before. We’ve already covered several such services in the past, and today we’re presenting you with DodgeBall . Just like some of the services we’ve seen before, DodgeBall relies heavily on SMS to allow users with virtually any mobile phone to schmooze while on-the-go. In addition to “standard feature set,” the new service provides users with some kind of rating mechanism giving you an ability to “fancy someone” on scale between 1 and 5 crushes. That being said, I can easily envision DodgeBall’s key selling point being the mobile dating, and not just chatting and exchanging emails with your buddies. The system also has the location component built inside, hence it can inform you when someone with enough “crushes” is in the neighborhood. Let’s just hope stalkers won’t use it. • Mobile Dating To Reach $1 Billion In Revenues By 2012: Report

The mobile dating industry must be feeling pretty loved up by now… a report out today from Juniper Research predicts that the sector will reach $1 billion in revenues by 2012 as some of the more popular online sites like Match.com expand their cellular offerings. The countries with the most use now are Japan and India, but the latter will see some of the biggest growth, reaching some 60 million users by 2012. Juniper says that these services will complement rather than replace the online market, but as with many of the digital content services, the likely winners will be those who can get some scale out of these services: currently there are some 40 million users of the service; in 2012 there will be 260 million users. But doing the math, that means that an average user will only generate around $3.85 of income. release Related Mobile Dating: Neu.de, The Dating Channel And Gaydate TV Launch Services Social Networking To Dominate UGC On Mobiles: Report Match.com's new Mobile Service
  • Match.com goes mobile

One of the largest (if not THE largest) online dating services Match.com finally decided to join the ride of the mobile wave with its newly launched MatchMobile service. Developed in partnership with Trilibis Mobile, the new service allows users to search for profiles, receive text message alerts when they are sent a “wink” or an e-mail from another Match.com member, and send and respond to e-mails and “winks” directly from their cell phones. In order to “date on the go,” Match.com users have to sign up from their existing account to opt to receive free text alerts, wink and search. Want to read and respond to your emails from a cell phone? Prepare to pay additional five bucks ($4.99) on top of your existing membership plan per month. There you have it. In case you live in U.S., Canada or UK and are the existing Match.com, feel free to flirt from your mobile phone starting from today. Live somewhere else? Hopefully, the dating service will include your country in their “nine additional markets” expansion plan by year end. ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:T-Mobile UK names mobile TV content providersBlizzard to go mobileT-mobile, 3 Plan Pokerroom.com for Mobile Poker GamingMobile gaming losing ground to Mobile TV and MusicVirgin Mobile USA partners with Facebook; Intros "My Mobile" app
