  • AT&T's BlackBerry Bold showing up in stores a day early

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE , HSDPA , UMTS Got $299.99? How about a burning desire to have the absolute latest, greatest QWERTY BlackBerry money can buy? You might want to give your local AT&T branch a quick ringy-dingy then, because some of 'em already have Bolds . Yep, that's right -- they're just sitting there in a back room with sad faces, hoping that someone will love them enough to come by and take them home. Do you have room in your heart to save a Bold today? [Thanks, Kal] AT&T's BlackBerry Bold showing up in stores a day early originally appeared on Engadget Mobile on Mon, 03 Nov 2008 13:36:00 EST. • It's official: BlackBerry Bold hits AT&T on November 4 for $299.99

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE , HSDPA , UMTS The hopes and dreams for a "summer release" have long since faded, but at least AT&T's finally agreed to a hard date for the hotly-anticipated Bold : November 4. The news comes courtesy of the company's earnings call -- not the most obvious place to slip in news this big -- but at least it's coming straight from the horse's mouth. [Thanks, Joe] Update: And the press release just slipped out, too -- $299.99 on a two-year contract. Yikes! Permalink | Email this | Comments
  • Blackberry Bold release dates, pricing leak out

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , Sprint , T-Mobile , Verizon Wireless Those of you dying to get your QWERTY on with RIM's hot new Blackberry Bold can start marking your calendars and stashing cash under the cushions -- release dates and pricing info have hit the tubes this morning. As expected, AT&T will get the Bold first in July for $300, while Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile customers will have to wait until September. Oddly, T-Mo subs will have to cough up an extra $50, which seems a little unfair. Of course, these aren't official dates and prices, so things are likely to change, but we'd say everything seems in the ballpark, wouldn't you? Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments
  • WiFi-less BlackBerry 8110 showing up in AT&T stores

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE If you're just too cool for the WiFi found in AT&T's BlackBerry Pearl 8120 , we might suggest this little number. That's right, the slightly less 802.11-inclined 8110 is now finding its way into corporate stores, offering the same physical package as its counterpart plus the added bonus of GPS navigation. It's available for $149.99 after contract and rebate -- that's $50 less than the 8120, mind you -- and comes in your choice of red or the understated "titanium." • AT&T gets official with BlackBerry Pearl 8120

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE Suddenly, our Pearl 8100s are looking just a little long in the tooth. AT&T rather unexpectedly pulled out all the stops today to rush its 8100 replacement to market today ahead of schedule , offering several enhancements that Sprint and Verizon customers have been enjoying on their 8130s for a few months now: an externally accessible microSD slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a refreshed 2 megapixel camera, for starters, but more shockingly, WiFi instead of the GPS found on the 8110 and 8130. The 8120 is available to businessfolk starting today and will run you a shiny new pair of Franklins out the door on contract.
