The HTC Touch Diamond's accelerometer is a quite useful hardware-component if only used. However, by default, HTC enabled the G-Sensor for given applications only, like Opera Mobile, the HTC Photo Album or Teeter. Other applications don't take a benefit from the accelerometer while at the same time, HTC also disabled the manual screen rotation as normally available in Windows Mobile. As a matter of fact, you can only run a small amount of predefined applications in landscape mode. Some applications, like E-Mail Inbox or calendar cannot be used in landscape but portrait mode only.
