  • WorldTV teams with Qik for cross-platform video

    Online video service provider WorldTV announced a partnership with mobile video streaming technology firm Qik that enables both companies' subscribers to share real-time content streams via customized WorldTV channels. Qik users may now send live feeds from their mobile devices for broadcast on their personal WorldTV channel--Qik subscribers may also incorporate archived videos to their WorldTV channels and highlight favorite clips ranging from vacations, sporting events, weddings and concerts.   • Intercasting adds Bebo access

    Mobile social networking platform provider Intercasting announced it will partner with Bebo, enabling the global social media network's 40 million-plus members to produce and share convent via mobile device. Bebo is the latest addition to Intercasting's Anthem platform--a dedicated mobile application promises members users an efficient and user-friendly interface to view photos, send and receive messages, post comments and search profiles. The mobile app also enables deeper integration between handsets and the Bebo website. Bebo presently boasts operator deals with Virgin Mobile, Sprint, T-Mobile UK, Orange, O2 and 3 UK.   • Piczo goes mobile via Intercasting

    Online teen destination Piczo announced a partnership with mobile social networking platform provider Intercasting to enable Piczo members to produce and share content via mobile device. Intercasting's ANTHEM platform will enable Piczo's 13-to-18-year-old demographic to upload images directly from their phones, send and receive messages and post comments, all on the go. The mobile application will be fully integrated with the Piczo online site, which presently boasts more than 28 million registered user accounts and 10.6 million monthly unique visitors generating 750 million monthly page views. "This is a big step forward, putting Piczo into the pockets of teens everywhere and enabling the Piczo generation to exercise their creative self expression whenever and wherever they are," said Pizco's European managing director Chris Seth in a prepared statement.   • Exclaim spins off dotPhoto, shifts focus to mobile

    Applications platform provider Exclaim announced an agreement to spin off its Web-based photo sharing service dotPhoto in order to exclusively focus on the branded wireless applications market. Per terms of the deal, dotPhoto co-founder Glenn Paul will take ownership of dotPhoto, with president and CEO Ivan Ruzic continuing to lead Exclaim. The company will now shift its efforts to Pictavision DMM, a user-generated, content exchange platform marketed to wireless carriers and handset vendors, as well as its MyApps suite, which offers mobile applications including MyHoroscope, MyLovesigns, MyFuture, MyFaith, and MyLaughtones.
