Not yet official announced by Sprint or Palm, Sprint already started to sell Palm's latest Windows Mobile smartphone, the Treo 800w through its web site. The Palm Treo 800w, which leaked earlier already, is powered by Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS and supports Sprint's CDMA 800 and 1900 networks as well as EVDO Rev A and 1XRTT. Furthermore, and this makes the Treo 800w quite unique, it's Palm's first smartphone with inbuilt WiFi (802.11b/g) support. Last but not least even IrDA as well as Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and GPS are onboard. Furthermore, the Treo 800w includes a 2.0 megapixel camera with 2x zoom and sports 256 MB of RAM and 128 MB of ROM which can be extended using microSD cards. It's not yet known if Palm will announce its new Windows Mobile smartphone or its new Palm OS-based smartphone but Palm just unveiled a landing page which says that a new smartphone is announced on 12th September 2007. Palm let us only know, that the new Palm smartphone is great for E-Mail, mobile Internet, Instant Messaging, text and that it features  the Palm (Treo) full keyboard. These days I've been pretty busy with news and rumors from Palm. The latest rumor comes from Gizmodo which received information, that (most likely) Sprint is releasing a new Palm device, the Treo 800w, in Q4 2007. According to Gizmodo's information the Palm Treo 800w is expected to features EV-DO REV A., Windows Mobile 6, a 320x320 display, 256 MB flash ROM, 128 MB RAM, a 1.3-megapixel camera, the long awaited WiFi support, GPS, Bluetooth and an expansion slot.
