    While I'm a big fan of Windows Vista's Sidebar, I haven't found too many good gadgets to be used with it and I always hoped, Microsoft would deliver some more gadgets by itself, to promote Windows Vista Sidebar and - even more important - to unify the different technologies, where it makes sense. Now, interesting enough, it seems Nokia picked-up exactly this idea and released "Nokia Text Messenger" for Windows Vista Sidebar. Nokia Text Messenger fetches you the latest text messages from your connected Nokia device. As a gadget, designed for Windows Vista, Nokia Text Messenger comes in two different sizes and you can place it in your Windows Sidebar or you can put it, in a slightly larger size, floating on your desktop.   • FIRST: Air France and OnAir launch 2.5G in-flight Mobile Phone Service

    After Boeing switched off Connexion by Boeing, Air France has become the first airline in the world to offer an in-flight mobile phone service on international flights.  Using the Mobile OnAir system, passengers travelling on board of one of the Airbus A318 aircraft operating European routes can now send and receive SMS and MMS messages as well as send and receive E-Mails via all phones with Internet access. During the second half of the six month trial, passengers will also be able to make and receive phone calls, with the service being regulated to maintain passengers' comfort and well-being.   • SERVICE: Send yourself SMS reminders with kwiry

    Some days ago, a new start-up informed me about a new service which opened the doors today: kwiry (yup, like query), which allows you to send yourself SMS text messages to remember things online. kwiry, a San Francisco-based startup, opened the door of its mobile/web service this morning which lets you use your cell phone to text personal reminders to your online account and E-Mail. People often watch TV, read a magazine, talk to friends or see a billboard and think, 'I should check that out' or 'I should E-Mail that to a friend.' kwiry gives you a way to remember those things easily, with the thing you always have with you - your mobile phone.   • UTILITY: Sprite Software releases Sprite Archie Beta 2 SMS and Call History backup utility

    And there is another cool new program available from Sprite Software. Not yet finally done but available in Beta 2, Sprite Archie is an archiving utility that allows users to archive the SMS and Phone events of Windows Mobile 5.0 and Windows Mobile 6 smartphones. Many of use would love to archive received and sent SMS messages (including me) and that's exactly what Sprite Archie is designed for my monitoring the traffic of your SMS messages and call history. While monitoring your phone traffic Sprite Archie creates reports and send them to an specified E-Mail account for archiving purposes, for instance on your PC.
