Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE Pink Pearls are nothing new -- but a pink Pearl with a fancy silkscreen? That's another matter altogether. These 8110s imbued with a newfound sense of fashion are starting to show up in AT&T stores now, so get 'em while they're hot. [Thanks, Kal] Permalink | Email this | Comments
  • WiFi-less BlackBerry 8110 showing up in AT&T stores

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE If you're just too cool for the WiFi found in AT&T's BlackBerry Pearl 8120 , we might suggest this little number. That's right, the slightly less 802.11-inclined 8110 is now finding its way into corporate stores, offering the same physical package as its counterpart plus the added bonus of GPS navigation. It's available for $149.99 after contract and rebate -- that's $50 less than the 8120, mind you -- and comes in your choice of red or the understated "titanium." • AT&T nabbing GPS-enabled BlackBerry Pearl 8110

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , ATT , GSM , EDGE Merely months after we heard that the BlackBerry Pearl 8110 was headed to Rogers , Americans green with envy can finally chill. According to shots posted over at Boy Genius Report , the GPS-enabled 8110 looks to be making a B-line for AT&T outlets -- in two colors, no less (red is option two, for those curious). Word on the street has these ready to rock "in the next month or two," but your guess is as good as ours on price. Check the high-resolution snaps in the read link below. • RIM BlackBerry 8110 Pearl headed to Rogers Wireless with GPS?

Canadian BlackBerry-fans may just have reason to celebrate in the near future. We’re hearing that the GPS-toting RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8110 could be hitting Rogers Wireless’s network in the near-term. As the GSM counterpart to the CDMA-based BlackBerry 8130 Pearl, the BlackBerry 8110 Pearl features an integrated GPS receiver. The updated GSM BlackBerry Pearl should be sporting the microSD card slot, revised keypad, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and the integrated GPS receiver that we’ve come to expect from the newer BlackBerry Pearls . Dark Blue seems to be the color of choice for the Rogers-flavor of the BlackBerry 8110 Pearl, and keep in mind that the $249.99 price-tag is dependent upon a data plan and a 3-year contract. • Rogers to get BlackBerry Pearl 8110 any minute now?

Filed under: Handsets , RIM , Rogers Wireless , GSM , EDGE It's a little behind schedule , but we're hearing that one of the two updated GSM BlackBerry Pearls, the 8110, is finally en route to Rogers dealers across Canada. While the 8120 features WiFi, the 8110 makes do with integrated GPS along with most of the other things that have made the revised models great: a redone keypad, external microSD slot, and integrated 3.5mm headphone jack, just to name a few. We're hearing it'll run $249.99 when purchased with a data plan on a 3-year contract, available in any color you like as long as it's dark blue. • RIM planning BlackBerry 8110 Pearl with GPS?

So, with the BlackBerry 8120 Pearl sporting a lonesome WiFi radio, it makes sense for RIM to push a GSM version of the GPS-enabled BlackBerry 8130 Pearl . Word on the street has it that the new BlackBerry Pearl 8110 will be picking up where the Pearl 8120 left off - opting for a GPS receiver in place of the WiFi radio. We’re thinking that 3G is in the cards for the Blackberry 8110 Pearl, but that would be speculation. The launch window for the BlackBerry 8110 Pearl is supposedly slated for early 2008, which means this GSM jobby won’t make it into any Christmas stockings next month. We’ll update when we know more.
