  • MOTOROKR T505 Bluetooth in-car speakerphone with FM transmitter officially announced

Back in July, we’ve talked about the upcoming Motorola’s Bluetooth accessory that bundles car speakerphone with FM transmitter. Well, now it’s officially announced but unfortunately we’ll have to wait it till Q1 2008. If you still haven’t understood, the MOTOROKR T505 works BOTH as a car-kit AND as a FM transmitter. That’s a single device, which allows you to listen to your music from a Bluetooth A2DP enabled phone, plus use it as a car speakerphone! When someone calls you, it automatically mutes the music and audibly announces the Caller-ID. Nice, very nice! Full press release follows after the jump. PRESS RELEASE - Motorola, Inc. is dialing up the experience of hands-free driving with the introduction of the MOTOROKR T505 Bluetooth In-Car Speakerphone and Digital FM Transmitter, its first road-ready, music-oriented ROKR accessory and the latest addition to its portfolio of in-car solutions. The MOTOROKR T505 enables consumers to connect a compatible Bluetooth enabled phone¹ to the car sound system and enjoy hands-free calling and their own personal music collection in outstanding stereo sound. Motorola will unveil its newest Bluetooth automotive accessory here at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, the premiere automotive specialty products trade event. The T505 is extremely portable and requires no wires or installation. Drivers simply clip the device to a car’s visor and pair the T505 using Motorola’s EasyPair technology to a compatible Bluetooth device. When the T505 is connected to a stereo Bluetooth phone, such as a MOTORAZR or MOTOROKR Z6, or an MP3 player, calls and music are streamed wirelessly with the perfectly-tuned clarity and wide-ranging volume of a car stereo. Drivers with standard Bluetooth phones can use the T505 to make and take their calls over the car stereo. And when the ride’s over, the T505 can be easily unhooked and taken to another car for the next trip. “Today’s...
  • MOTOROKR T505 Bluetooth FM transmitter

So far, I haven’t spotted any Bluetooth FM transmitter. It always seemed kinda strange why no one haven’t done it before — after all we live in a wireless world where cables, well… suck! Motorola decided to change that with MOTOROKR T505, which connects with your phone via Bluetooth and from there transmits your audio to the FM frequency. It’s simple as that — you don’t have to physically connect your device to anything. The T505 scans for clean frequencies, and when it finds one, it says aloud, “Tune your radio to…[frequency].” There’s also the caller ID functionality, as well as support for the A2DP profile (stereo Bluetooth). We still wait for Motorola to announce pricing and availability of its latest accessory. In the meantime check out more photos from the Motorola holiday show in NYC after the break.
