Alltel Wireless announced it will debut Voicemail MAX, a new application enabling subscribers to personalize their outgoing voicemail greetings with the addition of celebrity voices. Developed by mobile content distributor 9 Squared, Voicemail MAX presently features over 500 audio clips from categories including Hip Hop Celebrities, Rock Stars, Sports, Business, Holiday and Cartoons; marquee names include comedians Larry the Cable Guy, Steve Harvey, Orlando Jones, rapper T.I., and stars from Comedy Central's Reno 911. Each greeting is $2.99. "With hundreds of messages to choose from, customers can select voicemail greetings that match their personalities for incoming calls from friends, family and colleagues," said Alltel's director of multimedia content Kristi Crum in a prepared statement.
