  • Parrot: We love California’s and Washington’s hands-free driving legislation

Parrot has recently issued a press release saying that a one-month old California and Washington hands-free law has boosted its Bluetooth accessories sales. Apparently, the Bluetooth accessories maker has seen a three-fold increase in sales of its hands-free car kits and they’re attributing the increase to an aggressive advertising and PR campaign they’ve launched two [...]
  • Sales of mobile phone jam devices soar in the U.S.

People in the U.S. (and I guess around the world) are getting more annoyed with mobile phones interruptions on the bus, train, restaurant or cinema - hence they’re turning to handheld jamming devices that can cut off a call signal at the click of a button. Apparently, cell signal jam device retailers are receiving hundreds of orders every month and that’s alarming to the carriers, which basically can’t do much about it. The technology is everything but new, but the popularity of such devices is growing especially after the introduction of pocket-sized jammers. Buyers reportedly include restaurateurs, hair salon owners, hoteliers, bus drivers and commuters — all who don’t want to be interrupted and/or annoyed… [Via: textually.org ] ---Related Articles at IntoMobile:India passes Britain in Nokia phone sales2006 smartphone salesTelePark buys Sanyo's mobile phone sales divisionNokia Way Jam: What is it? • Food as mobile phone straps

We can’t understand why food is so appealing to manufacturers of mobile phone accessories, but it seems to be par for the course in Asia. These cellphone straps look good enough to eat (which must be why they come with “Do Not Eat” tags), kind of like those sushi (or chocolate) shaped cell phone screen cleaners from Japan - except these mobile phone straps come to us from South Korea. Those crazy Koreans. Hit the link to see the rest of the pics. • Self-destruct button for your mobile phone - the irresistable cellphone charm

Don’t look down. Don’t lick the frozen flag pole. Don’t, under any circumstances, push that RED button. What is the very first thing you do when someone tells you not to do something? Well, you do it, of course. It’s okay, we do too. That’s why we love this little “Self-Destruct Button” cell phone charm. The mobile phone accessory is basically a black box, with a conspicuous red button, protected by a clear plastic hood that clearly indicates that something nasty will happen if you press that button. We love it because we can finally take out our button-pushing angst on this little black box, with no ill-effects. We can’t imagine a $10 accessory will actually do anything more than make some cool sounds and flash some fun lights - which is more than we can say after having licked that frozen flag pole. Oh yea, don’t ever lick a frozen pole. Just take our word for it.
