No question, the Toshiba Portégé G710 isn't that new anymore in terms of its announcement, since it was announced last month already, just one day before Vodafone announced its G710 version but today was the first time I got my hands on this new Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone we will see released later this Spring. Featuring quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as Bluetooth, this entry-level QWERTY thumb-keyboard smartphone lacks WiFi support as well as UMTS. Nevertheless, it sports an inbuilt GPS receiver which makes it interesting again. What I definitely dislike is the trackball Toshiba uses instead of a D-Pad and - in my humble opinion - makes the navigation through the device a little bit inconvenient: [ Permalink ] (c) 2008 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved
