  • Samsung T919 - Another T-Mobile 3G handset hits the FCC

T-Mobile’s AWS 1700Mhz 3G network is starting to take its first steps in to the world of nationwide 3G, and with T-Mobile expected to bring more than a couple dozen additional 1700Mhz 3G markets online by October, it makes sense that manufacturers are starting to warm up to T-Mobile’s own special flavor of 3G. The 1700Mhz [...]
  • FCC unveils new T-Mobile 3G handset - Sony Ericsson TM506 Bella

With T-Mobile's 3G network up and running, we're eager to see T-Mobile bring some serious 1700Mhz 3G-compatible handsets into their stable. Some eagle-eyed detective work by Cellphonesignal has uncovered FCC documents that clue us in to a new T-Mobile 3G handset - the Sony Ericsson Bella. We're looking for T-Mobile to pick up the Sony Ericsson [...]
  • T-Mobile goes live with 3G Nokia 6263 monoblock! T-Mobile 3G network to launch soon?

We’re not surprised to see this Nokia 6263 hit T-mobile’s network, but we are excited to see that it’s finally gone live on T-Mobile’s network. You see, the FCC already dropped some little morsels of information on this 3G, 1700Mhz WCDMA handset - we’ve been expecting it for some time now. And, with the launch of the Nokia 6263, we’re left thinking that T-Mobile’s getting set to flip the switch on their 1700mhz 3G network . The Nokia 6263 is basically a US-spec Nokia 6267, and as such, will be sporting nearly the same internals - 2.2 inch QVGA display, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, and media player. However, the camera loses a few (hundred thousand) pixels - downgraded to 1.3 megapixels from the Nokia 6267’s 2 megapixel camera. And, the Nokia 6263’s dual-band (850/1900Mhz) GSM radio makes sense for surfing the US airwaves - and is more than enough to work on T-Mobile’s 1900Mhz band. What really gets our juices flowing for this S40 device is the 3G support on the 1700Mhz band that T-Mobile is probably going to launch/announce/do something about tomorrow . If an S40 monoblock feature phone with support for T-Mobile’s 1700Mhz gets you excited, then a quick trip to your neighborhood T-Mobile dealer should be just what you need. • T-Mobile launches Samsung T639 3G handset. T-Mobile 3G network to go live soon?

We’ve been expecting this for quite some time now , and T-Mobile’s finally pulled the trigger on the Samsung T639 . The Samsung T639 passed through the FCC months ago, and reports indicated that the handset would launch in September. Well, T-Mobile has launched their first 3G handset ahead of its actual 3G network rollout. The Samsung T639’s quad-band GSM radio will be limited to strictly EDGE data speeds, as T-Mobile has yet to see government agencies vacate its 1700Mhz frequency spectrum. We’re sure T-Mobile is just itching to roll out its WCDMA network on the 1700Mhz band, but they’ll just have to wait for the molasses-bureaucracy to do its thing. The launch of the Samsung T639 could be a hint to T-Mobile’s intent to roll out its 1700Mhz WCDMA network in the near future - in limited markets at least. We’ll keep an eye out for any further developments. • Could the HTC Kaiser be coming to T-Mobile USA's 1700Mhz 3G network?

Well, at first glance, we’d be inclined to say no. But, upon closer examination of the HTC P4550 Kaiser’s FCC documentation , we’d have to give the possibility a resounding maybe. You see, the FCC documentation includes a users manual for the “ Holy Grail ” of mobile phones - and makes mention of both T-Mobile and 1700Mhz frequency support. Given screenshots, the presence of myFaves support, and mention of T-Mobile’s USA-specific tmobile.com web-address, we’re thinking that our favorite wireless carrier might just be getting the HTC Kaiser sometime soon. Oh, and there’s even mention of some delicious 1700Mhz support - which, as you’ll recall , is T-Mobile’s 3G frequency. Coincidence? We’d love to see HTC’s Kaiser hit T-Mo’s newly launched 3G network.
