  • CLEARED: HTC Touch Dual passes the FCC as HTC NEO300

    It took a little bit longer (in Europe, the HTC Touch Dual was introduced back in October last year already) but the U.S. will finally get its version of the Touch Dual as well. The HTC NEON300 just cleared the FCC and it will be a real power-horse, featuring Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which is powered by a 400 MHz CPU which is backed-up by 256 MB ROM and 128 MB RAM. Like the European version, the North American Touch Dual will also feature Bluetooth 2.0 and will misses WiFi (again) but will support 850 and 1900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA.   • UPGRADE: AT&T and Palm releases Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade for the Palm Treo 750

    It's here, finally! After it was previewed at the 3GSM World Congress already and after Europeans and Asians got their hands on the Palm Treo 750 Windows Mobile 6 upgrade, AT&T and Palm announced the update to Windows Mobile 6 for Palm Treo 750 smartphone customers in the United States. Beside the polished user interface, Windows Mobile 6 brings increased functionality, enhanced user interface and strengthened security and performance  as well as the ROM upgrade enables HSDPA for the Treo 750 smartphone which is offered exclusively in the United States by AT&T.   • UPGRADE: HTC and AT&T releases Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade for the AT&T 8525

    Ladies and Gentlemen, please charge your batteries and free up a USB port on your PC. HTC America just announced that it will provide a Windows Mobile 6 Professional ROM upgrade for the AT&T 8525 from tomorrow, November 1, 2007 which is however available for download already. This ROM update is intended for the AT&T 8525 only and users should not load or attempt to load this version on any other device (aka other HTC Hermes) as it may cause serious issues/damage. Also note, that at this time, Good Mobile Messaging is not supported on an upgraded AT&T 8525 anymore. If you use Good Mobile Messaging, better not upgrade your device at this time.
