Krillion Raises $6.1 million To Provide Location-Based Mobile Services

Krillion, a Mountain View, Calif.-based company, has raised $6.1 million to expand its location technology for the PC into mobile, reports VentureBeat. Last year, Krillion was helping consumers find electronics and other products in local stores, but now its expanding into mobile, including developing an application for the iPhone. The funding comes from Leapfrog Ventures, which led the round, and Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. The round is in addition to $3 million raised last year. The mobile app should come out sometime next year.
