Motorola Q9 running UIQ?

I’ve been thinking about this for some time, and now I’ve decided to share my thoughts with you folks. Don’t know about you, but I simply love the Motorola Q’s form factor. Don’t get me wrong, Motorola hasn’t invented the full QWERTY keyboard equipped smartphone with the Q. Rather, the American handset manufacturer made it look cool — especially with the latest Q9 series smartphones. That being said I would love to see them announcing the UIQ powered version of the Q. Somehow that would make a perfect sense — they already have the hardware and design in place, and all that’s left is to use Symbian with UIQ instead of Windows Mobile. Ok, maybe hardware will need some tweaking before that happens, but that doesn’t sound that complicated for a company like Motorola.

There are some people who just can’t stand Windows Mobile, why not offer them an alternative? Motorola is the co-owner of UIQ Technology, but so far we’ve only seen them releasing two phones using the platform - Z8 and Z10. The Mobile World Congress is coming and personally I’m hoping they’ll announce one or maybe even more UIQ powered devices. Hopefully, they’ll show us a device with the full QWERTY keyboard… And in case you’re wondering, we don’t have any inside information — it’s just me speculating.
