Peter Adderton, former CEO of defunct MVNO Amp’d Mobile is reportedly making plans to jump ship and catch a ride on Clearwire. Although Adderton denies such rumors, MocoNews has reliable sources saying that the once-CEO and his executive content team (Amp’d Live) are making preparations to hook up with Clearwire - the WiMAX ISP that recently inked a deal with Sprint to rollout a nationwide WiMAX network.
It’s interesting to note to that Clearwire showed interest in buying Amp’d before the Chapter 11 filling. And, with Adderton and his content team heading to a company with no content initiative, we’re hearing speculation that the Amp’d Live team will be trying to replicate their Amp’d dreams through Clearwire’s WiMAX network.
Apparently, pile-driving Amp’d Mobile into the ground didn’t hurt Mr. Adderton’s prospects for future employment. You go, Pete!
